Galileo's basic information

• Mission: Journey to Jupiter
• Named from: The space craft was named after Galileo Galiliei. He was the first astronomer. 
• Launched dates: Galileo took of on Oct. 18.1989 but didn't reach Jupiter until December 1995.
• Goals/objectives: Learning more about how the sun and planets were formed more than 4.5 billion years ago.
